Pre-departure safety checklist

Documents
Check passport validity, entry rules, transit rules, and any required travel authorization through official sources before buying non-refundable tickets.
Keep encrypted digital copies of passports, bookings, insurance, and emergency contacts in a place you can reach if your phone is lost.
Money
Carry at least two payment methods on separate networks, plus a small cash reserve for transport, food, or a late arrival.
Set card travel notices where your bank still uses them, and save the card-freeze number outside your wallet.
Arrival
Plan the first transfer before departure. Late arrivals, tired children, or heavy luggage change the best transport choice.
